As a special addition to our 1 year celebration, local DJs & beat makers are invited to submit their mixes / tracks for a chance to perform at the ill.Gates concert.

Produced in conjunction with Cutz on Cuts & Part Time Sucker Radio (WNUR), the contest’s winner will be decided via Facebook ‘likes.’And the top 3 contestants will perform at an exclusive showcase 3/22/2012 broadcast live via UStream & WNUR.

The entry deadline is 3/9/2012. The contest begins 3/10/2012 & ends 3/19/2012.

Instructions:

Step #1) Submit your music (mixes or tracks) via SoundCloud, Mediafire, or any other file hosting service to ill.contest (at) facemeltchicago.com
Step #2) Once the contest has begun (3/10/2012), you will be emailed a link to your music’s Facebook post.
Step #3) Get as many ‘likes’ on your post as possible before 3/19/2012!

Whoever gains the most ‘likes’ will win an opening slot at the ill.Gates concert at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago, IL.

& The top 3 contestants will perform 3/22/2012 at a private Wicker Park loft. This event will be broadcast live via Cutz on Cuts UStream & WNUR’s Part Time Sucker Radio show. Cutz on Cuts will also be performing their unique brand of turntablism.
